Nissan Grand Livina gets tuned by IMPUL

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) introduced their new Nissan GRAND LIVINA Tuned By Impul. Today’s launch marks the world debut of the only GRAND LIVINA to be tuned by a world renowned Japanese motorsports and specialist Nissan tuning expert, Impul Motor Racing Development.

With the exception of the alloy wheels, all Impul GRAND LIVINA parts are produced in Malaysia. Quality and reliability of these parts are assured with the appropriate cost competitiveness for consideration to be exported to other ASEAN markets, China and South America at a later stage.

The complete aerokit exudes visual drama and dynamic presence with its front grille, front and rear bumper spoiler, side skirts and the Impul trademark rear wing spoiler.

The suspension system consisting of upgraded shock absorbers and springs are fine-tuned with a 25mm lowered ride height to reduce unwanted roll and pitch for optimised handling and to enrich steering feel of the Nissan Grand Livina.

AC Schnitzer tuned Toyota Innova 2.0G VVTi

Spotted at a small town - down south of Kuala Lumpur - is an AC Schnitzer "tuned" Toyota Innova 2.0G. Sporting lowered coilovers, reinforced chassis, strut bars, thicker anti-roll bars, AC alloys with semi-slicks (?) and full works bodykit, this sleek and sporty Toyota people-carrier (MPV) must be sporting a remapped ECU, cold air intake et al. Brabus S300L Premier Line & CLS Rocket Conversion in Malaysia

Naza-Brabus, the exclusive franchise holder for Brabus tuning products/performance parts and vehicles in Malaysia and Singapore, has added the new S300L (W221) to its Premier Line of kitted Mercedes-Benz. A standard S300L (CKD) has been customised with original and warranted Brabus aerodynamic bodykit (front and rear bumpers), exhaust system and Monoblock rims. Tagged at RM710,000 this is currently the top-of-the-line model in the Premier Line of Brabus vehicles.


At the other end of the sporty spectrum, any Mercedes-Benz CLS can be customised into Brabus Rocket under the Brabus Conversion Program. The Rocket converted CLS500 on display at Brabus Bangsar showroom potrayed that Brabus cars can be in any colour, not only limited to black or silver. In fact, customisation starts from the exterior paint colour to interior trim shades, pedal pads to sterring wheels, bodykit, Monoblock light alloy wheels and of course, performance upgrades (engine, suspension and brakes) to new engine displacement. Total conversion costs of the Brabus CLS Rocket customisation as depicted in these images is RM61,596.

Brabus Super C-Class W204: BULLIT with 720hp & 1320Nm!

Famed Mercedes-Benz tuner and customiser, BRABUS, has transplanted its ultra-hyper SV 12 S Biturbo engine into the latest W204 C-Class resulting a super high performance sedan called BULLIT.

Over the past three decades BRABUS has perfected the art of transplanting large and extremely powerful engines into the bodies of small cars. That path led to numerous world records and entries into the Guinness Book of World Records. The BRABUS BULLIT, built in small-series production based on the new Mercedes C-Class sedan, celebrates its world debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show 2007 as the ultimate wolf in sheep’s clothing.

At the heart of this super saloon BRABUS placed an engine originally designed for the world’s fastest sedan, the BRABUS ROCKET. The implantation of the 6.3L powerhouse into the confines of the W 204 series body is yet more proof for the superiority of BRABUS know-how.

The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine is produced entirely in-house in the state-of-the-art BRABUS engine building shop. Displacement increase to 6.3L with special crankshaft plus longer stroke, enlarged cylinder bore with corresponding larger pistons. Both cylinder heads feature flow-optimized ports and special camshafts. Two high-performance turbochargers with special exhaust manifolds; more efficient intercooling system and BRABUS stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with low-back-pressure metal catalysts. Newly programmed mapping for engine electronics and on-board diagnostics made these all possible.

The turbocharged twelve-cylinder engine – lubricated like all BRABUS high-performance engines with ARAL Synthetic motor oil – delivers 730ps (720hp) / 537kW of superlative power and 1,320Nm (974 lb-ft) of superlative peak torque. The latter is limited electronically in-car to 1,100Nm (811 lb-ft).

Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a massively modified five-speed automatic transmission and a BRABUS rear locking differential with a locking rate of up to 40 percent. It is available with two different final drive ratios.


The performance figures for the BRABUS BULLIT is ultimate in its class: The executive rocket sprints from 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) after just 10.49 seconds and shatters the 300-km/h (186 mph) barrier after a mere 24.5 seconds. Top speed is more than 360 km/h (224 mph). There are only a very few super sports cars in the world that can hope to match these numbers.

Such performance places special demands on aerodynamic properties, suspension and brakes. Its extra-muscular body was optimized for runs beyond 300 km/h (186mph) in the wind tunnel. Those aggressive arches make room for especially wide BRABUS wheels and YOKOHAMA ADVAN high-performance tyres. The BULLIT runs on size 9.5Jx19 BRABUS Monoblock S light-alloy wheels and size 265/30 ZR 19 tyres on the steering axle. The rear axle features 10Jx19 wheels with size 285/30 ZR 19 tyres.

The suspension too was custom-developed to handle super-power and the weight of the twin-turbo V12 engine. The sporty yet comfortable height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over suspension features ten selectable settings each for bound and rebound, and ensures safe handling in all driving situations. Sport sway bars reduce body roll during fast cornering to a minimum.

The BRABUS high-performance brake system can handle even the most extreme stress. It features 12-piston aluminium fixed calipers on the front axle that grip vented and grooved 380 x 37 mm (15 x 1.46 inches) brake discs. The rear axle stops with 360 x 28 mm (14.2 x 1.1 inches) discs and six-piston aluminium fixed calipers.

Brabus 30th Anniversary

On occasion of its 30th anniversary, BRABUS will present an automotive ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing” at the Frankfurt International Auto Show IAA 2007. Rumoured to be a tuned-up W204 C-Class, this will be the fastest vehicle in its segment. The debut will be accompanied by the launch of the newly designed BRABUS website at http://www.brabus.com/.

Bodo Buschmann founded BRABUS back in 1977. 30 years later, BRABUS is the world’s largest independent automobile tuner. It is considered a car manufacturer by the German Federal Motor Vehicle Registration Agency (Kraftfahrtbundesamt). What started back in 1984 with a Mercedes 190 equipped with a V8 engine, led eventually to the BRABUS E V12 that in 1996 set a new world record for fastest street-legal sedan in the Guinness Book of World Records with a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph). Today that same record is held by the BRABUS ROCKET with a top speed of 365.7 km/h (227.2 mph).

The idea of dropping an immensely powerful engine into the engine bay of a sedan with almost indiscernible exterior modifications now reaches its latest pinnacle with the debut of a new ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing.’ The latest BRABUS special model based on the latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class delivers performance that only a very few of the world’s super sports cars can match.

The BRABUS Art Club is another new feature of the online presence of BRABUS. For the inauguration, the club will feature a photo editing contest. Online visitors can choose from various BRABUS models and then render these models in scenery they can design. An international jury will select the best of these art works that will be presented on the new BRABUS website and winners will be awarded prizes.

BRABUS B63 S Tuning

Famous Mercedes-Benz tuner, BRABUS now offers even more power for all Mercedes 63 AMG models: its B63 S engine tuning, which boosts power output of the high-revving 6.2-liter V8 to 550 hp / 404 kW and peak torque to 650 Nm. With a sprint time from rest to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 330 km/h, a CLS 63 AMG with B63 S tuning turns in performance worthy of a true super sports car.

The BRABUS power kit comprises newly programmed engine electronics with special mapping for injection and ignition. But that's not all: The intake side features a sport air filter for improved supply of combustion air. The exhaust side features high-performance metal catalysts with low back pressure that also ensure that the tuned V8 engine meets stringent EURO IV emission limits. In order to transfer the increased power to the road with minimum slip, BRABUS recommends the BRABUS locking differential for all Mercedes 63 models with rear wheel drive. The diff lock has a locking rate of up to 40%.

The BRABUS B63 S performance kit is available for all Mercedes 63 AMG models. With 550hp / 404 kW the ML 63 accelerates in 4.9 seconds from 0-100 km/h and reaches a top speed of 275 km/h in combination with the BRABUS Vmax unit.

This extraordinary performance represents a good argument for modifications to tyres, suspension and brakes. Depending on the Mercedes 63 AMG model in question BRABUS offers custom-tailored tyre/wheel combinations up to size 11Jx23 with tyres up to 315/25R 23. To further improve the already excellent handling characteristics BRABUS has developed a control module for the ABC suspensions that lowers the ride height by some 20 millimeters. BRABUS sport stabilizers reduce body roll and optimise turn-in.

The BRABUS high-performance brake system offers stopping power and endurance normally only found in pure-bred sports cars. It is available for all Mercedes 63 AMG models, upon customer request even in a special version with ceramic discs. The front axle features 380 x 36 millimeter rotors and 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers. The rear axle is fitted with six-piston fixed calipers and 355 x 28 mm brake rotors. The list of BRABUS exclusive interior accessories ranges from genuine carbon-fibre trim and scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo to ergonomically shaped sport steering wheels and a speedometer with 360 km/h dial.
